I draw maps and upload them to. Ive made maps for maptool and yes it takes a little while but the time depends on how detailed you like to make it. There are a few free maps on the wotc website that you can use among other places probably.

The underground maps include broken walls which make them unsuitable for dungeon crawls but good for big battles. This battle map works well with dd miniatures and you may find a use for it in other venues. Posts describing map creating tips and tricks are also welcome.
